Artist Studios
Images halfway between the DNA of the artist and the photographer. For each artist, I picked up a multitude of details from the studio, scanned the exhibition catalogs, chose the works I wanted to show, erased, added, invented new objects, consulted their library, spent time together, staged the pose. And so like a puzzle, with all this material, I composed an image, reconstituted an imaginary studio approved by the artist.»
Deux écritures, à mi-chemin entre l’ADN de l’oeuvre de l’artiste et l’ADN du photographe pour une image. Pour chaque artiste, j’ai amassé une multitude de détails du studio, scanné les catalogues d’exposition, choisi les oeuvres que je voulais montrer, effacé, ajouté, inventé de nouveaux objets, consulté leur bibliothèque, passé du temps avec eux, mis en scène la pose. Ainsi, comme un puzzle, avec tout ce matériel, j’ai composé une image, reconstitué un studio imaginaire validé par eux.
